Cheenu Sharma
Articling Student
Cheenu Sharma is an articling student at Bridge Law Corporation and an internationally trained lawyer. She earned her Bachelor of Laws (B.A. LL.B.) from the Army Institute of Law in India, where she was awarded two academic scholarships for achieving the highest marks in Criminal Law and Pleading, Drafting, and Conveyancing.
Cheenu subsequently obtained her Certificate of Qualification in Canadian Law through the Federation of Law Societies of Canada and completed a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Law Enforcement Studies (Criminal Justice) at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. As part of her studies, she authored a capstone research paper titled “The Role of Law Enforcement in the Implementation of Legislations Related to Intimate Partner Violence in Canada,” which has been published in the Justice Institute of British Columbia’s research vault.
Prior to relocating to Canada, Cheenu practiced as a licensed lawyer in India with a focus on civil litigation. After moving to Canada, she worked as a Paralegal at a boutique law firm in Langley, British Columbia, gaining practical experience in family law, civil litigation, and wills and estates matters before the courts of British Columbia.
Cheenu remains actively engaged in the legal community. She has volunteered with the South Asian Legal Clinic of British Columbia, supporting access to justice initiatives for marginalized communities, and contributed to the Internationally Trained Lawyers Conference 2025 in Calgary as part of the Awards and Social Media Team.
Outside the office, Cheenu enjoys painting, shopping, and exploring the Okanagan region.
